Ngooninup Slope Reprofiling
Complex slope reprofiling and rehabilitation works delivered in a highly constrained, high-profile public environment.

Following the removal of a large number of Polyphagous Shot-Hole Borer (PSHB) affected trees, sections of the Kings Park escarpment were left vulnerable to instability. The affected area runs along a prominent stretch of the Mounts Bay Road escarpment, within a Class A reserve and adjacent to live public infrastructure.
The works required careful planning and execution due to steep slopes, limited access, underground services, and the sensitivity of working within a highly visible public space.
What Haul Did
Haul was engaged to deliver the slope reprofiling and rehabilitation works, managing complex civil activities in a constrained and publicly accessible environment within a Class A reserve and aboriginal heritage area.
– Planning and delivering works on steep, constrained slopes adjacent to live infrastructure
– Locating and protecting existing underground services and significant trees
– Implementing a traffic management approach that avoided lane closures
– Demolition of existing pathways and clearing / grubbing works
– Grinding and mulching of PSHB-affected stumps using a custom drum cutter solution
– Cut-and-fill earthworks to achieve final design profiles and compaction requirements
– Battery trimming and preparation of final slope geometry
– Placement of new topsoil, erosion control matting and mulch
If you’re dealing with similar constraints or sensitive environments, we’re happy to talk.
